- Gust will release Atelier Judie: The Alchemist of Gramnad for PSP in Japan on April 9, a remake of the PS2 RPG from 2002. The PSP remake will have a new playable character and new dungeons will be at least twice as large, with all new traps and treasures inside.
- Konami announced the release date of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP has been postponed from March 18 to April 29 in Japan, to allow the team more time to finish the game.

- Famitsu posted an interview with Satoru Iwata, he confirmed that an all-new Pokemon game is in development and will be released this year. The game is not a spinoff, but a new installment of the main series since Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. The new game will take place in a completely new world with innovative new game mechanics.
- Square Enix announced they have shipped 1 million units of Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie for NDS in Japan.

- Marvelous Interactive has pushed back the release date of No More Heroes: Eiyuutachi no Rakuen for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan, from February 25 to soemtimes in April 2010.
- Koei announced that they are working on a couple of unannounced Xbox 360 titles with Natal support, and the company is also have a number of new releases exclusively for PS3.
- Codemasters announced they have canceled the development of Heist for PS3 and Xbox 360.
- Platinum Games announced Vanquish, a new sci-fi action adventure game from the creator of Resident Evil Shinji Mikami. The game will have CG scenes produced by Logan, who worked on the intro of Metal Gear Solid 4 for Konami.

- Nintendo announced a new Wii exclusive RPG XenoBlade, which is being developed by the Xenogears and Xenosaga creator Monolith Soft.
- Nintendo and Mistwalker announced The Last Story for Wii, a new high profile RPG from the father of Final Fantasy Hironobu Sakaguchi.
- During an interview in Japan, Nintendo CEO Iwata said that he is unimpressed by Apple's iPad and the concept of 3D gaming because people will be wearing 3D glasses to play games. He said "How is that going to look to other people?"

- Rockstar Games and Sony have officially announced Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City will be coming to PS3 and PC in March. The PS3/PC version will have a collection of new songs across all 13 Liberty City radio stations. Users can also download The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony episodes separately on PSN and Windows Live, for $19.99 each.
