Nintendo revealed that Wii U will launch worldwide this year before the holiday season. Wii U will support Nintendo Network, and will offer personal accounts and NFC (Near Field Commncation) functionality to the Wii U tablet controller, which allows the controller to read and write to cards or make micropayments.

Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata announced during the earning briefing, that a new 2D Super Mario title will be coming to 3DS in the next fiscal year between Apr 1, 2012 - Mar 31, 2013.

Satoru Iwata said Nintendo will stop taking losses for each 3DS sold in the first half of the next fiscal year. Currently Nintendo is selling the 3DS below cost after slashing the price by 10,000 yen in Aug 2011.

Nintendo revealed new details on the Nintendo Network, which was first revealed in the box art of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. It will support both 3DS and Wii U, users can download paid add-on content for game software. Nintendo's Tobidasu Purikura (photo touch-up app) will be the first title to support Nintendo Network, Square Enix's Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Koei Tecmo's Shin Sangoku Musou VS will also support download content.

Nintendo also announced that they will support digital distribution of software for both 3DS and Wii U in future, players can download games directly from eShop instead of buying package software from stores.

Bandai Namco confirmed that Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny will be released on March 29, for 5980 yen; this is the first Gundam game available for Vita.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 director Motomu Toriyama revealed some new info on download content and ending of the game, including more content for the original FFXIII characters....

• FFXIII-2 original had a system to strengthen the accessories, but it made the characters too strong, so the system was canceled
• Bosses from the Final Fantasy series will appear in the coliseum mode, Omega is the first one you can obtain through DLC
• Lightning will also appear in the coliseum mode as a download content. After you defeated her, you can put her into the party with Blaster as her role
• Square Enix plans to release download content periodically through May
• There will download content to expand the story in episodic format
• Besides download content, the game will have updates which add new functions in the game
• Toriyama is interested to provide episodes for Sazh, his son Dajh, and the time travel merchant Chocholina, either as download content or novel chapters

Motomu Toriyama also mentioned that he is starting his next project, but the platform hasn't been decided yet.

Bandai Namco hinted another Tales remake is on its way to PS Vita. In the ending of Tales of Innocence R, after the end of credits, the screen shows "To be continued to Next Re-imagination", which suggests another remake is coming. The next game is speculated as Tales of Hearts Remake, because the two characters Kohak and Hisui Hearts from Tales of Hearts are guest characters in Tales of Innocence R's coliseum mode.

Sega revealed that its PS Vita action simulation game Samurai & Dragons will be a downloadable game, it will be free to play and Sega will have an item transaction system in the game, allow players to purchase in-game items. The game will be available for download on March 29; Sega will also release package version of the game on April 26, which includes 100CP (game currency) for you to redeem items in the game.

Capcom's producer Yoshinori Ono revealed in Famitsu that the Xbox 360 version of Street Fighter X Tekken will not include any Xbox 360 exclusive characters. Ono said that Capcom discussed with Microsoft in exclusive characters but they were unable to reach an agreement due to differences in timing.
